In 2004, McDonald's decided to test a fancier version of their Chicken McNuggets with Chicken Selects, which were bigger and looked different. This different version of Chicken McNuggets did hang around for a while and was eventually taken off the menu in 2015. Since then, Chicken Select was brought back a couple of times, but it has not been able to hold a permanent place on the menu.
